I rebuilt my locum admin as software. Here's the messy v0.

For years my locum admin lived in three places: a calendar, a spreadsheet, and my head. Every month-end was the same scramble. So I did the obvious-in-hindsight thing and started building the tool I actually wanted.

What LocumOS is (and isn’t)

It’s an operating system for locum work — shifts, pay, and compliance in one place. It is not trying to be everything on day one. v0.3 does two things properly: a shift calendar, and pay tracking that reconciles what I’m owed against what landed.

What I’m afraid I’ll get wrong

Compliance is the scary part. Get a payslip wrong and it’s annoying; get a compliance record wrong and it’s serious. So that module is moving slowly on purpose, with real checks, before anyone but me touches it.
