ai opportunity audit
A one-week audit, a ranked roadmap, and a list of what not to automate.
I'm Usama Yousuf, an AHPRA-registered pharmacist and independent AI consultant based in Melbourne, and the AI Opportunity Audit is a fixed, roughly one-week engagement where I map how your business actually runs, then hand you a ranked automation roadmap and a written "don't automate this" list. It's for small business owners who want a plan before they spend a cent on tools or a build — no jargon, no vendor pitch.
What it covers
What does the audit actually cover?
I start by finding out where your time actually goes — not where you assume it goes. That means looking at the tools you're already using, which ones overlap, who owns each process day to day, and where the same task gets done by hand every week. I'm looking for the gap between what feels busy and what's actually worth changing.
The whole thing runs in about a week: a short intake call, a working session mapping the real workflow, and time on my end to turn that into a roadmap you can act on. No long discovery phase, no slide deck in week six.
The deliverable
What do you actually receive?
A written roadmap, ranked — quick wins first, with effort and cost stated plainly rather than buried in a proposal. Alongside it, a "don't automate this" list: the parts of your business where AI would waste your money right now, named honestly instead of glossed over.
- ✓A map of where your hours actually go
- ✓Ranked opportunities — quick wins first, effort and cost stated plainly
- ✓A "don't automate this" list — where AI would waste your money
- ✓A written roadmap that's yours outright, with no obligation to build with me
How it runs
How does the audit actually run?
A short call where I ask about how the work flows today. I listen more than I talk — the goal is finding the real bottleneck, not pitching a tool.
A working session going through your actual processes and the tools behind them, so the roadmap is built on what's really happening, not a guess.
You get the ranked roadmap and the "don't automate this" list, in writing, roughly a week after we start. It's yours, no strings attached.
Data handling
How do you handle my business's data?
I don't need admin logins or production data to map a workflow — a walkthrough, a screen share, and some de-identified examples are usually enough. Where there's patient or health data anywhere in the business, I hold the same line I hold in my own pharmacy work without exception: no real patient data goes through an AI tool, ever. Any example used in an audit is de-identified first, and clinical judgment stays with a qualified human, not a model.
Who it's for
Who is this audit for?
Small business owners who run real day-to-day operations and want a plan before they buy anything — the kind of businesses I've already built for: a catering kitchen, a gym, a signage brand. It's a particularly good fit for healthcare and pharmacy businesses, given I'm an AHPRA-registered pharmacist as well as the one doing the audit — I know where the actual sensitivities are, not just the general ones.
It's not for you if you already know exactly what you want built — in that case, skip straight to a build conversation.
Questions
Frequently asked
What's in scope?
Mapping how your business actually runs today: where the hours go, which tools you're already using, and who owns each process. It ends in a ranked automation roadmap and a written "don't automate this" list. It does not include building anything — that's a separate, later decision, made after you've read the roadmap.
What's out of scope?
Implementation, ongoing support, and access to your live customer systems aren't part of the audit — those are separate engagements if you decide to go ahead. If patient or health data is involved anywhere in the business, that real data stays out of scope entirely; I work from de-identified examples only.
How is my data handled?
I don't need admin logins or production data to run an audit — walkthroughs, screen shares, and de-identified samples are enough. If there's patient or health data anywhere in the business, the same rule I hold in my own pharmacy work applies without exception: no real patient data goes through an AI tool, ever, and any example I do use is de-identified first.
What happens after the audit?
You own the roadmap outright, in writing, with no obligation attached. Build it with me, build it with someone else, or build nothing at all — the audit is honest either way, because the roadmap is designed to be useful on its own.
Tell me what's eating your hours.
Two or three sentences about your business is enough to start. I read every email myself — and if AI is the wrong answer for your problem, I'll tell you that too.
